You are welcome to bring a picnic or take out from your favorite restaurant to enjoy aboard during your sail. The Spirit of Dallas’ benches will convert in to tables so you can easily enjoy your food.

We want your time aboard to be enjoyable and comfortable. We do not sail in rain or when wind is sustained 18+ or gusting over 23+ knots. We will contact you using the email and/or cell phone number provided in your booking if we cancel your sail.

We board from the public dock across from Big Thicket located at 430 East Lawther Drive, Dallas, TX 75218 in your map or ride share app. NOTE: Apple Maps will take you to the Dallas Bath House Culture Center. Please enter the park from Mockingbird Lane or Northwest Highway. Please do not park in the grass; you will be ticketed.

The Spirit of Dallas has 60 life vests ranging from infant to adult sizes, and throwable safety rings. The Spirit of Dallas crew provides a short safety briefing at the beginning of each sail on the use of the life vests and throwable.

The Spirit of Dallas does not allow the following:
Pets, including emotional support or companion animals. (ADA compliant service animals are welcome aboard.)
Smoking or vaping aboard.
No swimsuits or inappropriate dress. -
The Spirit of Dallas offers community sails each month. These sails are free but you must make a reservation. For available community sails, click on the ‘Reserve Your Seat’ button located in ‘Community Sails’ box above. Community sails are for individuals whom may not be able to otherwise sail aboard The Spirit of Dallas.

Private Charter Sails are based on time, not passenger count. The entire Spirit Of Dallas sailboat and crew are dedicated private to you and your invited guests only, nobody else is allowed aboard. You can bring up to the maximum capacity of 30 passengers. Your food, and drinks are welcome aboard*. Private sails cost $838 and up for 1.5 hours sailing time, depending on the date and time of day you want. If the boat and crew are available on the date/time you want, it’s yours.
